This seems a good time to issue a field commission, so I am hereby promoting Nick Elliott to the rank of Ensign. Why this particular crewman…? Because nobody else of this rank has left a comment or liked a post! (Everyone else who has commented has been a Lieutenant). More field promotions to come in the future, and for the Away Team, I will also be promoting a Lieutenant to Lt. Commander at the end of Season One. Congratulations Ensign Elliott! We’ll toast your promotion in Ten Forward once the set has been built.
Please feel free to throw in the odd comment, and to like and share posts. I would be especially grateful to anyone sharing the WAMs on social media, so please make use of the big ‘share’ button at the bottom of each newsletter.
Thanks for supporting WAMTNG!
This image is from the opening credits, which is more or less the only time we see the Enterprise-D filling an entire shot (not counting close ups). That's because we usually see the Enterprise in long shot solely for establishing shots, but in the credits it gets to whoosh about just for the heck of it!
I'm going to have to post the crew roster at some point, so I can keep track of who has what rank everyone has. I don't know what to do about people who haven't commented yet, though, as I don't know their handle! I guess they'll be "off duty" until they do leave a comment.
So, for my own reference, the duty roster current stands like this:
Captain Bateman
Lieutenant Wightwave
Lieutenant Mower
Lieutenant British Tennessean
Lieutenant Rob
+ 1 Lieutenant currently off duty
Ensign Elliott
+17 crewmen
