10. Husnock Ship

76 episodes: “The Survivors”, “The Most Toys”, “Half a Life”, “Ensign Ro”, “Silicon Avatar”, “Unification Part I”, “The Perfect Mate”

As already explained in the WAM for “The Survivors”, this model was built by Tony Meininger because Greg Jein was busy on “The Hunt for Red October”. The original model isn’t terribly inspiring, to be honest, but it doesn’t remain the same for very long! By “The Most Toys”, it’s become the Jovis, Kivas Fajo’s Zibalian ship, for which it was recoloured, had some external features removed and two new ventral wings added.

The Kaelon warships in “Half a Life” use the same modified model, and both the Boreal III freighters in “Silicon Avatar” and the Valtese vessel in “The Perfect Mate” are stock footage from the “The Most Toys”.

However, the model was modified two more times. Firstly, for the Bajoran cruiser in “Ensign Ro” with the addition of a distinctive ‘hammerhead’ at the front, and then one more time as the distinctive smuggler’s vessel in “Unification Part I” - you almost can’t tell it’s the same ship!

The final version of the model (shown above) is from the Christie’s auction, and represents another Bajoran design, this time from DS9.
