This remains possibly my favourite episode, ever since we watched it for the first time on VHS in Manchester, all those years ago...

"If there's nothing wrong with me, maybe there's something wrong with the universe" <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ek23bXq23pY>. I cite this line surprisingly frequently when working on distributed systems...

I thought of you as I wrote this one, Ian, as I remembered it was your favourite! ❤️ And you're the second person to mention the 'something wrong with the universe' line, which I am doubly kicking myself for omitting! So many good lines in this one, it really was hard to choose. 🙂 Hope all is well with you and yours, and wishing y'all a wonderful Winter Festival of your choice!

And the same to you! Delighted to have invaded your memory on this occasion.

FYI: The other line I use in the debugging-complex-systems context is "Sokath, his eyes uncovered".

This one lies just sixteen episodes from where I currently am in drafting the WAMs - cannot wait to get to it! 🙂

How could you quote great lines without a mention of perhaps my all-time favorite line in the whole of Trekdom? It’s also in this banger of an episode: “If there’s nothing wrong with me, there must be something wrong with the universe!”

That's another brilliant line, Jess! Honestly, there were so many corkers it was a real struggle to get it down to a reasonable set to quote. I confess, it does feel like a missed trick to have not included that one, though. 😅
