Fantastic episode! I mean, we didn't really think Captain Piccard was really going to be stuck in the Borg forever but they had enough going on that to keep me interested anyway. Did Troi actually get to do anything in this one?
Actually, Troi does more than you'd think in this one! She acts as a sounding board for Riker when he's considering why he keeps turning down commands, evacuates five decks so they can overcharge the main deflector dish, and also she tells Riker that he cannot go on the Away Mission to rescue Picard because he is now the Captain. Plus, she is in the poker game in the teaser, where she has this hilariously cringeworthy line about Wesley:
