Great write-up! I agree it's a good episode. Unfortunately, it apparently hasn't aged well for Gen-Z folks. There are a few such YouTubers who review TNG episodes. They rated this one as a "D" or "E" tier, whereas most of us they had polled from Millennials, Gen-X and older generations generally enjoyed The Game. :)

This isn’t a go-to episode for me and I’m not sure why. Maybe because it’s a Wesley episode? I’ll have to give it another try.
It took a while for me to warm to it, undoubtedly because of 'Wesallergy'. Might be worth a revisit, see what you make of it in retrospect!
