Aye, the character of Major Kira alone provided DS9 with an outstanding opportunity to reflect upon violent resistance/terrorism. The production team were more prepared for this kind of story by that point. As for this episode - if nothing else, the fact that it did not get shown in the UK (and thus we had to take our own steps to acquire a copy) gave it a certain mystique!
